Hey, friends— let’s be honest.
Summer break is exciting, but it can also feel like a lot. Between juggling housework, activities, and the endless snack requests, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. That’s why I created the Good Enough Summer Plan — a simple, flexible, feel-good guide for moms who want to create memories with their kids without losing their minds.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about connection, creativity, and those little everyday moments that actually make a summer.
So here’s what we’re doing for June 2025 — and I hope it inspires you to join in, tweak it for your family, or just steal an idea or two!

🌸 Week 1: Get Outside & Move!
We’re starting the month by soaking up the sun (or the shade — let’s be real, Florida heat is no joke). Whether it’s a splash pad playdate, a local museum trip, or a sunrise beach morning, we’re prioritizing movement and fresh air.
Ideas:
Morning park playdate (bonus points if there’s a nature trail or splash pad)
Library day or cool-off at a local museum
Family art time — Create a big poster or mural together
Beach or pool morning while it’s still cool
The goal: Move your body, get those wiggles out, and breathe in the good stuff.
🎨 Week 2: Learn Something New!
This week is about tiny life skills and creative connection. Think simple lessons that sneak in some independence and a little fun.
Ideas:
Life Skill Mini-Class: Teach kids to help pick foods on your grocery list
Craft date: Meet a friend and make something simple with your littles
Sock folding or towel rolling challenge (trust me — it’s actually fun if you set a timer)
The goal: Make learning feel lighthearted and let them surprise you with what they can do.
💦 Week 3: Splash & Create!
Hello, water play season! This week we’re mixing wet, messy fun with quiet, creative moments.
Ideas:
Splash pad playdate — invite old friends or make some new ones
Community park day — set up a shady “mama zone” with blankets and let the kids run wild while you write, draw, or daydream
The goal: Balance wild play with relaxed connection.
🪴 Week 4: DIY & Imagination!
Closing out the month with projects and adventures that let imaginations run free.
Ideas:
Morning playground run
DIY home project — decorate a pot, paint a birdhouse, make a fairy garden
Visit a botanical garden or park and create a scavenger hunt
The goal: Encourage creativity and curiosity, indoors and out.
🎥 Weekends: Keep It Simple
We’re not overcomplicating weekends. Here’s what’s on deck:
Backyard water play (sprinklers, water tables, and maybe a muddy puddle or two)
Family movie night with something that tells a great color story (think Coco, Inside Out, or Moana)
A family tidy-up where everyone pitches in for a quick home reset
Why Good Enough is More Than Enough
This isn’t about doing it all. It’s about doing what matters most. It’s about showing up for your kids, your summer, and yourself — in ways that feel natural, fun, and perfectly imperfect.
If you’re craving a slower, more intentional summer with room for giggles, rest, art projects, and popsicles at 10 a.m., you’re in the right place.
Here’s to a summer that’s good enough, and everything we need it to be.
Join the conversation!
I’d love to see your summer adventures — tag me in your photos or share what you’re doing with your crew. Let’s remind each other that the magic is in the little things.
