Something New Is Coming to Lakeland: The Makers Rave

There’s a certain kind of energy you can’t fake.

It’s the kind that happens when people are fully in their element—creating, moving, laughing, focusing, connecting… all at the same time. Not performing. Not trying to be anything other than exactly who they are.

That’s the energy behind something new coming to Lakeland:

A Makers Rave.

Not a workshop.

Not a market.

Not a networking event.

Something different.

So… what is a Makers Rave?

It’s a space where creators of all kinds come together—each bringing their own craft, their own project, their own way of expressing.

You might be painting.

Someone next to you might be crocheting.

Across the way, someone’s designing, journaling, building, sketching, or just soaking it all in.

There’s music playing.There’s food trucks outside.There are little pockets of creativity happening everywhere you look.

And somehow, even though everyone is doing their own thing… it all feels connected.

Why this? Why now?

I saw something like this happening in another city, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Because the truth is—we need this.

We need spaces where connection feels natural. Where you don’t have to pretend. Where you can be a little quiet, a little weird, a little focused… and still feel like you belong.

This isn’t about small talk or forced networking.

This is for the introvert who craves real connection.The one who would rather sit side by side creating than make surface-level conversation.

What to expect

We’re currently planning the very first Makers Rave right here in Lakeland, aiming for early May in a creative, inspiring space.

To keep it intimate (and not overwhelming), spots will be limited—around 50 or fewer for this first one.
